Donate your tax rebate to IRT
If you are a UK taxpayer who completes a Self Assessment tax return and you are entitled to a tax rebate, you can choose to have all, or part, of the rebate sent directly to the charity of your choice. This is called “Self Assessment Giving” or “SA Donate”.
Any rebate which a charity receives from you would also be eligible for Gift Aid, assuming you have paid as much tax as the payment to the charity would be.
HM Revenue & Customs do all the work of sending the money and the Gift Aid straight to the charity’s bank account. So, all you have to do is fill in the HMRC form SA100 saying which charity you would like to benefit. You’ll find the form in your tax return pack.
Our HMRC code number for this scheme is LAD98KG.

For example BT will give us £30 for every BT Total Broadband purchase made via IRT's eStore.
The retailers
There are over 100 retailers involved, many of which are household names, such as Amazon, Teleflorist, Thorntons, Marks & Spencer, Expedia, Sky, National Express, HMV and many more.
Prices
There is no extra cost to you when you help IRT fundraise via our eStore. You will pay the same prices as shopping directly with the retailer and there are often discounts exclusive to IRT. What does IRT do with the money?
IRT uses the money the same way we use any funds raised: it goes straight to our projects. For information on what IRT does, please have a look at our Projects Page.
Legacies/bequests
Over the past few years we have received a number of bequests from former donors. These have ranged from several hundred pounds to several thousand. These bequests have been absolutely invaluable. We always have more projects requiring funding than we are able to provide for, and the receipt of a bequest can often make a project possible for us. To find out more, please contact us with the assurance that we understand the highly personal nature of such an enquiry and it will be treated in the strictest confidence.
Payroll Giving
Payroll Giving is a flexible HM Customs & Revenue scheme that enables employees to donate tax-free through their pay to any charity in the UK by a direct deduction. IRT appreciate donations through Payroll Giving in particular because it is a regular and tax efficient source of income - enabling us to plan for the future with confidence and reduce our administration costs in claiming the tax back on taxable donations. To find out more contact the human resources department within your workplace or visit www.payrollgivingcentre.org.uk.

Get your school or community involved
Some of IRT's greatest satisfaction comes from working with schools and local communities to raise awareness about their work. IRT is capable of bringing schools and communities across the globe together through education and the supervision of fundraising initiatives. There's a lot to be learnt by a school child in the UK from a school child living in one of our project countries, and vice-versa. Fundraising through schools and communities is a wonderful way of bringing people together towards a common cause and the achievement felt by everyone involved is amazing.
Why not get your school or community involved? Visit our 'Your school and IRT' page to find out more!
