Volunteers give IRT a donation of one of life's most precious commodities - time.

In return, IRT provides volunteers with the opportunity to develop existing skills and discover new ones, improving employability and giving high personal gratification.

Volunteer opportunities are available in our office only, which is based in London. Before you apply, please check with us if positions are available, as our team is small and volunteer positions are in high demand.

Volunteer opportunites comprise of the following options:

New Media

IRT is currently promoting its projects and activities by means of new media such as our own website as well as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Flickr. As a New Media Volunteer, you would assist in keeping all social networks up to date and research on-line for up dates for our blog. We are also developing our on-line shop, another task you could be assisting with.

Community Fundraising

IRT is aiming to build strong ties with the local community in Chiswick as well as the rest of London. We are looking to establish links with other community bodies such as schools, churches, student unions, community centres, refugee community organisations and anyone else interested in fundraising for our projects. 

Administration

The Administration Volunteer would help around the IRT London office with duties such as filing, processing donations, thanking donors and managing collection boxes. You'll have the opportunity to observe the daily routine of a charity while being part of a small team with a wide variety of experience in the field of international aid.

Please note that we do not send volunteers overseas.

As IRT takes its volunteers' time seriously, applications from those able to commit for a minimum of three hours per week for a duration of three months will be preferred.
