Christopher Muwanguzi-Mugalu Chris Muwanguzi has been CEO of Family Matters Institute, (a research and educational based charity) since October 2013. He formerly headed up service delivery at the Family Matters Institute before being appointed CEO. Before this Chris had worked at Coram group for nearly 9 years, heading up a number of services including the award winning boys2MEN project, a satellite service that worked closely with Social services, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services in 9 boroughs across London to provide accessible services for young men at risk and their families. Chris was also involved in setting up Family Intervention Projects in Camden and Islington as well as developing leading innovative interventions to engage with priority and excluded families. This included working with parents in prison, families affected by drugs and alcohol, and working with young people in gangs. Chris also headed up Coram’s youth at risk project in Chelsea and Hammersmith and Fulham, which provided experiential life and social skills workshops alongside creative therapies for some of the local authorities most vulnerable children and young people. He also worked as a consultant supporting a number of local authorities in inner and outer London to set up innovative ways to engage with fathers and has advised the UK government whilst serving on various panels regarding children and fatherhood.
