Do you ever just want to do something fun, funny or maybe even challenging with your friends and colleagues at work? We’re all so busy these days we don’t get the chance to just chat with each other (how many of us even have water-coolers anymore?). Fundraising for International Refugee Trust(IRT) and especially the StepUp programme is a fun and exciting opportunity to come together with your friends and colleagues. You can pick your challenge (small or large) and which project you want to support. We’ll then keep you updated, directly from the project, letting you know how your money is making a valuable impact. You could even take part in our StepUp Challenge.
Companies today want to work with and support charities to give back to the community and importantly bring together their team. By partnering with IRT, your company – your team – can benefit from team motivation, staff engagement, attract new staff, corporate social responsibility (CRS), cause related marketing; the list goes on and on.
With personal account management, you will receive a programme tailored to your needs and requirements (e.g. challenge events, team building programme, branding). And because we are a small charity, we can keep you updated on the direct impact your support is making. Your support will make a big difference to families and communities who are rebuilding their lives and their own businesses.

Vybe partners with IRT for Water for Water
Vybe for Life and founder Amanda Breheny are committed to helping others as part of who they are as a business. By selling coconut water, they want to help others to gain access to clean water. That’s why together Vybe and IRT have launched Water for Water. Through sales of Vybe’s coconut water, we will be supporting communities on StepUp to build protected springs, gaining access to clean water for all their needs – drinking, cooking, cleaning and washing. StepUp is about change not charity, but big projects require a log of money. That’s where Vybe’s support is crucial. They are providing the match-funding to build the protected springs. Without protected springs, families are forced to drink dirty, contaminated water causing chronic sickness, disease and even death. So Vybe really is for life!
De La Rue takes on the Yorkshire Three Peaks
“We chose IRT because they stay and help people even after the cameras have left. The projects are for long term sustainability. IRT give people resources for life so that the work continues when the charity leaves. The peaks challenge was a truly incredible experience and I was glad to be part of a fantastic team and some brilliant fundraising for a very worthy cause.” – Karen
Two teams from De La Rue’s R&D department in Basingstoke took on the first official StepUp Challenge this June. They set themselves the huge task of hiking up the Yorkshire Three Peaks (Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-ghent) in under 12 hours. In doing so they set the target of raising £3,000 to support 10 families (70 mums, dads and children) for the full four years of StepUP. Through months of fundraising including bake sales, baby pictures, funny dress days and match funding from De La Rue, they raised an astounding total of £4,913.57! This means they are now supporting 16 families (over 112 people) to rebuild their lives. We’ll be updating them on the families’ progress and achievements throughout the four years. They also completed their personal challenge to finish the hike in just over 11 hours.
