Babies' Home

Northern Uganda
Project run by the Sacred Heart Sisters

Without this Babies' Home, abandoned and orphaned children would die. The Home provides housing, food and basic medical care for Sudanese refugee babies and toddlers. Some of the babies when they arrive at the home are very ill and the Sisters do all they can to nurture them back to health.

It is the only home of its kind in the whole of Northern Uganda because looking after babies is very labour-intensive and therefore expensive. IRT has been the sole funder of this vital work for several years.

Funds are needed to keep the home running, to pay for food, medical supplies and nursery school education.
