As with all UK charitable organisations, IRT follows specific guidelines from the Charity Commission when producing its Annual Report and Accounts. We follow the Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) 2005. SORP 2005 requires much greater detail and clarity within the Annual Report and Accounts and has allowed IRT to put much more emphasis on how its funds are spent and what proportions are used on direct charitable objectives, fundraising and overheads.

IRT is committed to being open and transparent about the way the organisation raises and spends its funds. We are particularly proud of the professional and courteous way we communicate and thank our donors for the invaluable support they give.

Over the past three years IRT has started to experience strong income growth. While it has allowed us to reinforce existing projects it has also enabled us to start supporting new initiatives for the benefit of refugees and internally displaced people around the world.
