Civil war, ethnic cleansing and hate force families to be up-rooted. This is the stark reality which millions of people in many parts of the world have to face.
International Refugee Trust, founded in 1989, funds small projects for some of these desperate refugees and displaced people in Sudan, Uganda, Eritrea, Jordan and Thailand. We provide medical care, homes, food, education and training, and particularly help women and children.
Most of the projects are run by Missionary Sisters
who are devoted to
helping these tragic people. Many are trained nurses and teachers and they help people of all nationalities and all faiths.
What makes IRT special is that many of our projects are greatly needed but, being small, they are often overlooked by larger aid agencies. We stick with projects and people for the long-term and we know how every penny of our donors’ money is spent.
